Doff Cleaning – Super Heated Steam Cleaning

Doff super heated steam cleaning is highly effective for gentle cleaning and restoration of all historical or conservation projects .

Doff cleaning is a super heated stone cleaning system used to clean all stone and brick surfaces removing years of atmospheric deposits without damaging the host material. It uses very low pressure high steam of up to over 150 °C to remove all the surface contaminants along with some from stone, masonry and building cladding .

What is the Doff Cleaning System best used for?

The super heated steam quickly removes algae, kills moss and other unsightly stains or graffiti reducing the need for harsh chemical cleaners.

Cleaning stone and masonry with super heated steam allows the surface to dry quickly and avoids the use of high pressure jetting where water droplets are forced and driven in to any porous surface which can become frozen in harsh winter periods causing spalling of brick masonry or stone in later years . It is also used to remove some paints from historic render, brick, masonry and architectural stone.

Doff cleaning systems are ideal because it APT have recently launched a new version of the low pressure high steam cleaning system, we call it Hot box . It was designed by our site operatives and engineers and they believe it has all the attributes of the doff stone cleaning system with added higher steam values, extra control allowing more stable consistent delivery of steam over longer hose runs.

It certainly cuts down on our labour service costs and therefore it is a more effective option for our clients.
