Hence, when we get a good word or two in return it does bring a smile to our faces. This time we helped to restore the front of Sadiyya’s and Ryan’s house to bring it back to it’s original glory. We have removed pebbledash covering and cleaned brickwork. Couple’s story and their failed home move was covered in the YourHome and at the same time we did get a little mention aswell :).

EU Movers Rates Drop Significantly Amid Brexit Uncertainty

The rate of EU citizens moving to the UK has dropped by 44 per cent since the EU referendum was held in 2016, according to data published by reporting body Reallymoving.

When analysing over 100,000 international removals quotes, data from the property services comparison website indicated that there was a major decrease in EU nationalsinterested in relocating to the UK, since June 2016. Meanwhile, there was a notable rise in moves within and from the EU to the rest of the world during the same period. Rates of EU movers fell drastically from 42 per cent in June...

New Scheme Protects Landlords from Rogue Letting Agents

Letting agent membership of Client Money Protection (CMP) schemes, which offer landlords and renters greater protection from ‘rogue’ lettings agents, has now been made mandatory by the government. From April 2019, letting agents are expected to be compliant and to be members of an approved CMP scheme, or else face fines.

The measures were taken as the government was concerned that a large number of landlords and renters were at risk of being unable to have their money returned to them, in the event of misappropriation of funds or the bankruptcy of their agents. The government estimated that prior to the regulatory changes, approximately 60 per cent of letting agencies were members of some kind of CMP scheme.
