Paint removal is a process where unwanted paint is dissolved with specialist masonry chemicals and thorough hydro cleansing. Once this process is complete the bricks are left undamaged and once again displaying their natural colour and beauty.
The main reason for paint removal is to restore a building to its original glory. A steam pressure washing system is used, if necessary, in conjunction with chemicals to strip off the specific layers in question to an exact level, returning the surface to its original face.
We use our wealth of experience and technical knowledge to select the most appropriate cleaning solution for the substrate at hand. Our background in surface conservation and restoration means we are fully able to remove both unsightly graffiti and any coats of paint which may need replacing or removing, even if your building or ornament is particularly delicate.
In order to remove the paint, we normally have to work from the scaffold. The areas to be worked on are assessed and the surroundings of these areas are sheeted. Then we are ready to apply specially formulated paint stripping chemicals with a view to breaking down or dissolving the paint and washing it off.
Looking at the examples of our jobs below, you can see the effect of striped paint on the outside of a building can have a positive effect on the overall appeal. This will raise your property value and sale-ability.
